Achieving Accredited Quality Contractor Status

A major highlight of 2025 was earning the designation of Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). This national recognition reflects excellence across five critical areas: quality, health and safety, talent management, education, and community relations. 

Achieving AQC status underscores our company-wide commitment to continuous improvement, industry-leading performance, and delivering exceptional value to our clients and employees. Ranked Among ENR’s Top 50 Electrical Contractors

Cummings Electrical was recognized by Engineering News-Record as one of the Top 50 Electrical Contractors in the Texas and Louisiana region, driven by substantial growth compared to 2024. ENR remains one of the most trusted benchmarks in the construction industry, and this ranking reflects our clients’ confidence in our ability to deliver large-scale, complex projects across multiple market sectors.

This growth was fueled by continued success in manufacturing, mission critical, and healthcare projects, work that challenged our teams to innovate, collaborate, and perform at a higher level than ever before. Across Cummings’ Construction, Integrated Manufacturing, and Service business units, our teams worked together to deliver integrated solutions that added value throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Growth within Cummings Integrated Manufacturing continues to be powered by the innovative thinking and collaborative approach of our people. With leadership that encourages boundary-pushing ideas, our team delivered prefabricated and modular solutions that improved quality, safety and efficiency in the mission critical space.

Our growth isn’t just native to Texas, this year, our crews logged over 175,000 hours outside of Texas, proof that when clients across the country need reliable electrical expertise, they call on Cummings. Through our National Programs, we brought the same precision, safety standards, and accountability that defines our Texas projects to sites in 27 other states. Whether it was supporting multi-site rollouts, tackling complex builds in remote locations, or providing rapid-response service where others couldn't, our teams showed up and delivered. Being licensed in 28 states isn't just a credential on paper, it's a commitment to bringing Cummings-caliber work wherever our partners need us.

Celebrating Award-Winning Project Excellence

2025 was marked by significant recognition across multiple projects and disciplines. We began the year at ABC’s National Excellence in Safety Awards in Las Vegas, where our Safety Team earned a major national honor. Soon after, we received a TEXO Distinguished Building Award, marking the first of several accolades for Project Ray.

Project Ray continued its award-winning momentum with a Platinum Award from ASA North Texas in the $15M+ category, along with a safety milestone recognizing 1 million man-hours without a lost-time incident. Cummings Electrical also achieved ABC STEP Diamond Certification, the program’s highest tier, an advancement from Platinum in 2024, reflecting exceptional safety performance, low incident rates, and strong OSHA records. In September, Project Ray earned an Outstanding Construction Award from the Associated General Contractors of America, Texas Building Branch.

Later in the year, our team was recognized by ABC Central Texas for work on Samsung Taylor FAB1. We celebrated big, Kentucky Derby style!
