DFW6 Walmart-Dematic Controls
Cummings Electrical played a key role in the construction of a 920,000-square-foot Walmart distribution center, partnering with Dematic—a global leader in supply chain automation—to deliver a fully integrated electrical and controls solution for one of the most advanced logistics facilities in the country. Our scope included the installation of extensive conduit and wiring systems, thousands of LED light fixtures, and the complete power distribution infrastructure supporting the facility’s high-speed conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and advanced sorting technologies. We provided dedicated electrical feeds and low-voltage raceways for each major automation component, ensuring system resilience and real-time operational control.
In addition to power, our team installed the complete data infrastructure necessary to support the facility’s AI-driven robotics and smart automation platforms. This included controls wiring, PLC connections, network backbone cabling, and precise coordination of power and signal routing to minimize interference and ensure system reliability. Our collaboration with Dematic included in-depth coordination on system sequencing, equipment startup, and functional testing—ensuring all automated equipment came online smoothly and met the performance standards required for a high-volume, 24/7 distribution environment. This project not only demonstrates Cummings Electricals’ capacity to execute large-scale industrial installations but also reinforces our leadership in delivering high-performance electrical and automation solutions for the modern supply chain.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center - Expansion and Renovation
To improve installation speed and reduce on-site labor, prefabrication and kitting strategies were used extensively, particularly for patient room wall assemblies. Rough-in times for patient rooms were reduced from an average of 32 hours to 12 hours, resulting in approximately 40% labor savings. This efficient approach supported project timelines while maintaining quality standards across all phases of construction.
