FORT WORTH, TX
Harris Methodist Fort Worth embarked on a transformative expansion to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. The project features a new 11-story surgery tower, with one level below grade, designed to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This state-of-the-art addition integrates with the existing Richardson Tower through a specialized connector, ensuring continuity in patient services.
Scope of Work
The facility consists of a total of 11 stories, which includes one level below grade. It features 216 patient rooms, with 144 of these rooms fully built out in the initial phase. Additionally, there are 15 new operating rooms, along with PACU and pre-op spaces that are conveniently connected to the Richardson Tower, providing comprehensive care and support for patients. Our expertise in large-scale healthcare projects ensured the safe and efficient installation of complex electrical systems to support cutting-edge surgical and patient care technology.
Challenges & Solutions
Integrating the new surgery tower with the existing Richardson Tower involved meticulous planning and collaboration with contractors and hospital administrators to ensure seamless electrical connections. To support critical hospital operations, we implemented redundant power systems and backup generators for continuous service during power fluctuations. Throughout this project, we adhered to strict timelines and safety protocols, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing patient care in the fully operational healthcare facility.
